3 Steps to Plan an Intriguing Holiday to Kerala

A holiday is an occasion where people spend some quality time with their dear ones. Have you ever thought why professionals and students are getting one or two days leaves? It is the moment where employees and students can rejuvenate and refresh their minds by spending quality time with their favorite people. And the world knows that it will get the best output only from those people who are absorbing good vibes in their soul. Who does not get bored after tasting the same dishes every day? Who does not like changes?  Changes always bring new vibes in one’s life. Changes can be in the form of moving your location from one place to another or changing your job, passion, hobbies and many more. Changes are an inevitable part of the universe. Some changes may hurt but some may incite joy and enthusiasm.
When you feel that you are completely exhausted from your present situation then waste any more second. Just pack your bags and get ready for an expedition. Exploration should not be to the places which are familiar to you. Instead one must be ready to stroll through the avenues of the places which you have read in books and magazines. By doing so, one will gain knowledge in various aspects and will help to change their perspective in analyzing life. There was a time when people used to migrate from one place to another in seek of job opportunities. By doing so they not earn good yield but also become more confident and bold enough to face the obstacles of life. Not like the past nowadays people are accompanying their family to traverse streets of historic and beaches to learn more about nature and ancient lifestyles. It is upon the desire of the common people to select which place they like the most. Some like to unveil the charm of the magnificent beauty of skyscrapers constructed in crowded metro streets. Others like to listen to their inner voice and may select some secluded places. Whatever may be the destination the ultimate aim of the tour must be enjoyment and excitement. There are many places in the country that are abundantly blessed with numerous holiday destinations and amusement parks. One of them is the most beautiful Kerala. Words are insufficient to describe the fascinating charm. Hundreds of visitors flock to the state to taste its beguiling beauty.
The alluring charm of Kerala propels tourists coming from Hyderabad to plan an exotic tour with their dear ones by availing of packages. Planning an exotic journey can either be expensive or cheap. It is based upon the itinerary and accommodation that decides the profit and loss of the trip. To make your Kerala trip cent percent successful just keep a few points in your mind.
1. Select a perfect destination

Planning is a basic element of any project. If the foundation is not correct the whole project will be of no use. Therefore plan well before you get ready for the trip. A destination always plays a vital role in making a tour successful. Kerala is not a small state like Goa. It is a combination of 14 districts. More than the number of districts it is the different dialects that confuse the travelers. Even the natives have no idea about the various slangs prevailing in their ‘god’s own country’. According to the age of people, the state has categorized tourist destinations into different sections. For school and college-going children traversing the lanes of historic monuments like Mattancherry palace, Bolgatty palace, Thripunithura palace and Krishanpuram palace, museums, factories, beaches, amusement parks such as Wonderla, Fantasy park, Dream World and so on and hill stations like Munnar, Vagamon, Thekkady, Wayanad, Silent Valley will enlighten them with knowledge. For newly married couples without any doubt, the doors of secluded destinations like valleys, mountains, houseboats, and beaches are always open. As we all know that for aged people they love to spend their valuable time with almighty and the state is immensely stuffed with several pilgrim centers irrespective of religion such as the Guruvayoor temple, Padmanabhapuram temple, Vallarpadom church and mosque in Kodungallor.
2. Prepare Itinerary

After selecting your favorite destinations, now create an itinerary by your own. Prepare such an itinerary where you can enjoy all the small and large landscapes in its full mode. Just consider an instance of an itinerary form Cochin to Munnar. Don’t think that only Munnar is composed with all-natural wonders and marvelous beauty. On the way you can spot many eye-catching sights such as Lulu shopping mall, Chinese fishing nets, beaches, waterfalls and many more. So while preparing the itinerary and destination. Select the places which are easily accessible from airports, railway stations and bus stand otherwise you may find difficult to reach the spot on time. For more details, you can refer to the internet.
3. Select the best tour operator

Now here comes the crucial part of the tour. The most important part of the tour is always the tour operators. To make your trip hassle-free select the best tour operator from the list. While surfing on the internet you will come across various travel operators after selecting the travel planner to discuss your destinations and itinerary with them if it suits then avail of their packages. Lelagoon Holidays is one of them. They curate the packages for travelers from Bangalore, Coimbatore, and Ahmedabad. They are even ready to customize the packages on travelers’ special requests. Before purchasing the packages understand their terms and conditions and inquire whether they allocate a tour guide. Seek the opinion of the previous travelers who have availed of their services. If you feel satisfied then select theirs. If you are wishing to select the tour packages to Kerala from Lelagoon Holidays you can contact them through their customer support team working 24x7 or can drop messages either through WhatsApp or mail address. Paithalmala was my First Hill Station to Trek

From my childhood days I have always heard that boys can do anything, can visit any places at any time with whomever they want. But for girls, a huge wall of restrictions prevents them from enjoying their happiness. I found always difficult to adjust with this illiterate old fashioned ideologies. I used to always argue with my elders about this. But they used to state several instances to support their points. Whenever I accompany my cousin brothers for trekking, rock climbing and etc. My family used to ask me to stay out of such activities. As I am a girl I am supposed to be engaged in household activities like stitching, cooking embroidery works and many more. Even though I was born as a girl all my ideologies and thoughts tasted like a boy’s. My mother always used to tell me that I was supposed to born as a boy. But it was god’s mistake that I became a girl. Years passed I secured good scores in my 12th board exams. It was my dream to do graduation somewhere far from my house as I really wanted to enjoy hostel life. But this time also my parents were against my wish. Therefore as I had no other option I was forced to obey their commands. I joined one of the best colleges near my hometown.

Things were going smoothly. Within a couple of months, I made a good friendship with boys and girls in my college. I really enjoyed their company. We used to bunk classes and go for a movie, shopping. On holidays we used to gather in any of our friend’s house. I enjoyed my college life. Two rainy seasons passed and only one more year left. We became so close and to think about departing has become crucial for us. After graduation, we all will be in different places and hence we wanted to make the final year wonderful. Many ideas came into our minds. But one idea struck our hearts. It was nothing but trekking to high ranges. I was thrilled as it was my childhood dream to trek. Before anyone said yes I voluntarily stood and loudly said yes. All the people in the canteen were looking at me. Only that moment I realized that this not the classroom but the college canteen. All smiled at me and quickly grabbed my seat. Rahul my good friend showed me some amusing pictures of prominent hill stations in south India. Considering the cost of transportation and accommodation we decided to explore the hilltops in Kerala as tour packages to the state from Hyderabad are always cheap and intriguing. Kerala is blessed with mesmerizing hill stations such as Meesapulimala, Agasthyarkoodam, Kodanad, Paithalmala and many more. Considering the budget we decided to select Paithalmala. Even though I was very excited I was afraid to present the matter to my family. As I very well knew my parents will never allow me to go trekking I asked my friends to excuse me from the trip. They scolded me and threatened me if I do not join them they will cancel the trip. They showed me some awesome images of trekking and also Paithalmala. I was ignited by the pictures and decided to talk about the trip to them. That evening I presented the matter to my family. I was dam sure they will reject it as usual. My dad called me and said ''it is high time for me to change my thinking. I know you are grown up now and imposing restrictions is of no use, therefore, I am allowing you to go for trekking''. I was so excited that tears rolled from my eyes. I was very happy. That moment itself I messaged this happy news to them.

Within one week we made necessary arrangements for the trip. By Friday noon we started our journey. We friends had a wonderful time on the train. On Saturday morning we reached the Kannur railway station. From there our tour coordinators took us to Paithalmala. On the way to the destination the alluring scenery, cascading waterfalls hitting the rocks and emerald forest lured our hearts. By noon we reached the famous Paithalmala. Our guide took us to the resort for refreshing and followed to it we moved to the base station. On the registration counter we met many travelers hailing from Coimbatore, Surat and Pune came there to explore the hill station by making use of the tour packages to Kerala of Lelagoon Holidays. With an elevation of 4500 ft Paithalmal is the tallest hill in Kannur district. It is also called as ‘Vaithalmaal’. After completing the formalities we got ready for the trek. While availing of the tour packages our guide had informed us to carry warm clothes as it is extremely warm on the top. We followed his instructions and wore warm clothes. We started our trekking we were supposed to cover 6 km to reach the top.

Trekking was not as easy as I thought. Several times I fell down and had minor injuries on hands and legs. But those injuries were fuel to my determination. On our trekking, we covered grasslands and dense forests. Before starting the trekking we had applied salt on our feet to prevent the bites from leeches. And it really helped throughout our trip. Eventually, by mid of the evening, we reached the top of the hill station. It was a pride moment for us especially for me. I asked my friends to capture my beautiful images in the camera so that I could upload it on social media and tell the world that nothing is impossible for girls. On top of the hill, a watchtower is situated. By climbing the tower we caught a magnificent glimpse of nearby localities like Coorg, Koadaku and the spectacular environment of Paithalmala. The warm garments really helped us to withstand the cool temperature. Gradually the mist started to cover the serene environment, indicating us that it is time to say goodbye to the hill and we then returned to the base station. Thereafter we unwind ourselves in the resort. The next day we did sightseeing and by the evening we departed in our hometown. We are really thankful to Lelagoon Holidays for making our trip wonderful and exciting and more above I am very happy for my parents for granting me permission for the trekking.

Best 5 Exciting Aqua Venture Sports in Kerala

Games have always found a special place in humans’ life. During our childhood days, we used to spend most of the time in outdoor and indoor games. Indulging in sports and games not only made us physically fit but mentally too. No one can play an outdoor game alone. For it, they certainly need a partner. Playing with a partner will teach many lessons that a textbook couldn’t. You will learn how to cooperate, how to face failures, how to overcome obstacles and many more. These lessons will strengthen you and make you courageous and energetic. Understanding the importance of sports and benefits, one period has been exclusively left for physical education in every school and college. Several competitions are being held on the district, state, national, and international level every year.

Each and every country is known for its sports activities. In India, Goa and Rishikesh are known as ‘Mecca of sports’. Tourists are lured to these places by not only the adventurous activities but also due to their eccentric beauty. Don’t think that only the north Indian states are popular for enthralling activities. Even the states in the southern part of the country are well-renowned for games. Kerala which is prominently known as ‘god’s own country’ is famous thrilling activities which are rarely seen in any parts of the country. Many travellers from Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata avail packages to tour the splendid state by indulging activities. The state is known not only for water sports but for other adventure games. Travellers always love to enchant the charm of the state but many of them don’t have a clear idea about the famous games practised over there. The following sections might help you to understand the popular games of Kerala and places where it is being widely played.
1.         Bamboo Rafting

Bamboo rafting is slightly similar to canoeing and kayaking. The only difference is here you will have to sail in the logs of bamboo woods. You won’t be alone. You will be accompanied by a group of 10 travellers and a forest guard belonging to tribal communities. Bamboo rafting is popularly practised in the Periyar forests reserve at Thekkady and Wayanad.
2.         Boating in Banasura Dam

It is not the first time you are hearing boating. Most of us love to boat in rivers and seas. But have you ever heard of boating inside a dam? Here is a golden chance for travellers to practice boating in the Banasura dam at Wayanad in Kerala. While boating, you can witness the serene and emerald nature surrounding the dam. You may have to seek prior permission from the authorities before practising boating inside the dam. If you are interested you can avail pedal boating also. Consumption of alcohol is strictly restricted during the activity.
3.         Kayaking
Kerala tour packages from Hyderabad

The most beautiful and charming district of Kerala is Alleppey. Kayaking is the favourite game of not only the visitors but also the locals of Alleppey. It is usually practised in the shimmering backwaters. When compared to the luxury houseboats, kayaking is cheap and best to explore the stunning beauty of the state. There are many places where the entry of houseboats and canoes are restricted. With the help of kayaks, you can discover the unique charm and can also interact with common villagers and understand their distinguished lifestyles. What makes kayak different from a canoe is the number of blades. Kayak needs only 2 blades whereas canoe needs only one. Kayaking is mainly classified into 3 types. There are as follows sea kayaking, white water kayaking, and recreational kayaking.
4.         Parasailing
Kerala tour packages from Hyderabad

Who doesn’t like to glide in the air and fly with birds? Who doesn’t like to enjoy the bird’s eye view of the entire region? For people who like to touch the sky by soaking their feet in water can try out the most thrilling adventure activity known as parasailing. Parasailing is such an activity where you will be tied to a speedboat and with a parachute to your body. As the speedboat sails, you can enchant the beauty. Before availing parasailing packages you must have a clear idea about its categories. There are platform parasailing, winch boat parasailing and beach parasailing. In winch boat parasailing, the take-off and landing are done on a motorboat. For acceleration, the boat is tugged to the parachute. In beach parasailing, the beach is selected for take-off and landing. In platform parasailing, the sailor requires a platform suitable for the activity and it is must be attached to a boat. Practising of parasailing in bad weather conditions is strictly prohibited. In Kerala, parasailing is mainly practised at Kovalam beach, Alleppey and Cherai beach.
5.         River Crossing

Scope of Tourism in Kerala

Travelling has got healing qualities. One can leave behind all the tensions of life and travel to new and different lands. A new space is what one may need to get back their lives on track. The travel and tourism sector of Kerala is spending a lot to bring on the right and better developments in this field. With the growth of the tourism field, the assets of the state can be multiplied and thus the lives and integrity of the people too. The positives of tourism are many. Kerala is one such place where developments have been soaring and more and more people are hitting this southernmost state of India with each passing day. For those who are flying to this place can be a bit confusing. There are many travel partners working as part of tourism development to attract more domestic and overseas travelers. They come with many offers to choose from, there are Kerala tour packages from many cities in India like Chennai, Delhi, and Pune. What makes these travel packages attractive are their carefully planned itineraries, we can approach them with our preferences too and there will be a customized travel package ready to take us to Kerala.

Le Lagoon Holidays is a name that is quite famous these days when it comes to the best travel partners taking people to the serene land of Kerala with their perfect tour packages. They take unfaltering steps that make us trust them with our money and time. Kerala holds a laudable position in the list of beautiful places to be visited at least once in our lives. People usually hit this state in the name of its beauty - the beauty of nature here is something that stands apart and is a widely known place and has a place in the list of the “ten paradises of the world” according to the 2012 National Geographic’s edition of the Traveller magazine. There is a lot to ponder in here at Kerala for the travel buffs. The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation is working hard and the tagline of “Kerala, God’s Own Country” has helped Kerala a lot for its present state of a developed state.

The metropolitan cities like Pune and Delhi have been sending more people to Kerala as the environment and climate is totally different from theirs. There are places at Kerala to sit and relax from the tensions and the poisonous gases of modern lives. One of the main places that will never be out of any travel package will be Kochi. Be it the search for the best beaches, fabrics with a Bohemian touch or with a fresh look, or even cafes with different ranges of foods served from the foreign style to that of Kerala’s own cuisines, Kochi has everything. To know more and closely the colonial stories and their style of architecture, or to know the stories of the old rules and see the old palaces hitting Fort Kochi and Mattancherry are the options along with the other attractions at this place. The Mattancherry Palace/Dutch Palace and Museum, Dutch Place, The Aspinwall House, the Bastion Bungalow, David Hall, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jewish Synagogue, and Jain Temple are the main locations at this place. The Fort Kochi Beach and Cherai Beach are quite famous too. Honeymoon couples, people who want to spend some quality holidays with friends and family, the solo travelers - even from other countries like France and Germany and people who are artists and to be a part of the world of art too hit this place in great numbers. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale is that an international art exhibition that happens once in two years and all over the Ernakulam they have different art forms being exhibited to bring on changes in the society with the powerful language of art, maybe they are protesting or even showing how beautiful our world is that we usually take for granted. This is one of those times when places like Fort Kochi gets more visitors and the tourism is at its full swing.

Kerala is known for its backwater destinations that give great vibes to the tourists of all ranges. There are many lakes, rivers, and canals that make the water land of Alleppey a beauty. The place gets both domestic and overseas tourists too, in large numbers and is only increasing each year. A houseboat cruise through its backwaters can let you see nature at its best. A  calm and serene gliding through the pure and sparkling waters of Alleppey with the reflections of the palm-fringed palm grooves is a landmark of Kerala and its stand-apart paradisic beauty. The location is also known for coir making and can know more about this activity at this place, more closely. Paddy fields are something that can be seen in great number at places like Kuttanad, where farming is done on the lands below the sea level. To get down on this riparian land knowing the village life at close terms is a specialty of this place. The mouth-watering seafood cuisines are available at this land, which is better if consumed with the local beverage known as toddy. A stay in the houseboat is another that can be done at Alleppey to take back home some memorable moments.

Munnar is yet another main tourist attraction without which a tour package to Kerala from places like Pune will never be complete. The best thing about this place is its rich biodiversity and its lush green forests and plantations. There are many exquisite places for sightseeing here along with plenty of adventurous activities. With places like the Echo Point, Atukad Waterfalls, Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Anamudi Peak, and Tea Museum, Munnar is yet another place that makes Kerala a beautiful spot. Trekking, hiking, cycling, and parasailing are some activities that can be done at this place. With many fresh spices and tea manufacturing being done here, there are cuisines that should be tried at this place. The climate also makes Munnar the best spot for ayurvedic treatments which is a major and popular natural healthcare system in the world.

A HONEYMOON TRIP EXPLORING THE ROMANTIC SIDE OF KERALA

Having heard constantly about Kerala and the high regards people have for it, I and my husband decided to take the plunge and visit Kerala this time. They all said once you visit 'God's own country' you will leave the place with millions of beautiful memories to take home. That said, we thought we should definitely give it a try and chose it as our honeymoon destination. After browsing through zillions of honeymoon tour packages to Kerala, we finally chose what we felt like one of the best holiday deal. We booked 2 nights, 3 days honeymoon package from Lelagoon Holiday. That's how we set ourselves to embark on a journey to Kerala on the fourth day of our marriage.

We reached Kerala early morning on the 6th of March. It was quite humid at the moment but the view from the flight's window was breathtaking and we knew at once that we were going to have one amazing honeymoon in "God's own country". We did indeed take the right decision. Upon reaching the arrival terminal of the Kochi Airport, we were greeted by our travel representative. After hurling our entire luggage into the car's dickey we got into the car, all set to reach our first destination, The Athirapilly Waterfalls.

The route to Athirapilly waterfalls was so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes off it. I literally didn't have time for anything but gawk at the expanse of scenic beauty. If the road itself was so placid and charming, I couldn't even imagine how wonderful the actual destination was going to be. But before that, we had to pull over at the resort which was a few kilometers from Athirapilly, to refresh ourselves. An hour went by for freshening up and having a traditional breakfast meal of dosas and chutney. I would want a moment here to thank the creator of the crispy soft dosas for it was one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had in my 26 years of life. I could go on and on about the dosas I had, but I will put a stop to my rambling here.

A few minutes’ drives and we finally reached our destination. Our representative said that we had to walk a few 100 meters up the hill to reach the Waterfalls. Well, to tell the truth, I didn't see that coming. And we trudged on, meeting the eyes of some unexpected hosts, the monkeys (they were giving us that suspicious glance, obviously thinking that we were carrying food, but you know we were not!) to finally reach the great Athirapilly Waterfalls. I was speechless and stood rooted on the spot mesmerized in the beauty of Nature's creation.

The splendid fall gushes out from the humongous rock forming a pond of water adorned by a bed of greenery. It was quite a sight to watch. We could watch the waterfalls for hours and hours. We did watch its beauty for the majority of our trip but then decided to jump into the cool water. Needless to say, the water was just perfect and we played like children, splashing water on each other. Before we knew, the sun had set and it was time to return back to our resort. The resort too was amazing; it just narrated the culture of Kerala in all its authenticity. The staffs at the resort were very friendly. One of the best moments was the candle-light dinner set up for us. It was one of the most romantic dinner dates we've ever had.

The next morning we packed our bags and bid farewell to the very genial staff at the resort and set out to Alleppey. I had been looking forward to this even before we started the journey. After a four-hour drive, we reached Alleppey. The pristine backwaters of Alleppey were such a serene sight that one can't express it in mere words. Alleppey represents a beautiful blend of nature; you will have to visit Alleppey to know what I am saying. The main attraction of Alleppey is definitely the backwaters that adorn the land. We went on a cruise to the Vembanad Lake Alleppey and were amused by the picturesque scenic beauty.

Take my word, when I say Alleppey is far more beautiful than the pictures seen on the Internet. No camera can capture its true beauty, except the naked eye. Alleppey is rightly called the "Venice of India". Afternoon, we had a typical Kerala style lunch which was scrumptious. Spicy tangy fish curry prepared with whole spices and tamarind which are grown locally, along with mashed tapioca was my favorite. We could also witness a mesmerizing sunset in an indigo sky with splashes of red and orange.

If you visit Alleppey anytime in the future, make sure you go for a cruise in the backwaters at night; the night sky of Alleppey is so romantic. The cool breeze brushing your hair while you gaze at the star-studded the night sky is such an amazing experience that words won't suffice if I start elaborating on it. We spend a beautiful evening in Alleppey after which we had dinner. We had to hit the bed early as we had to be up early the next morning if we wanted to visit the Marari Beach of Alleppey.

The next morning we woke up early and went to Marari Beach and had a great time there. The golden sandy beach surrounded coconut groves was wonderful. We walked through the beach and played in the waves of the sea. Well, as they say, all good things have to come to an end and it was time for us to say goodbye to Kerala. We left Marari Beach by 12, to catch our flight which was scheduled to arrive at 4. To sum up, we had a splendid honeymoon in Kerala, thanks to our travel partner for setting up a wonderful tour package and showing us Kerala in all its glory. Here's my advice to every couple out there, find a great holiday deal, pack your bags and set out to visit Kerala. Trust me; it will give an unforgettable experience to cherish for a lifetime.
